Water Use Tips
Here are estimates of how much water is used in homes with fixtures that are not low-flow or water saving devices.
Toilet flush = 6 gallons
Shower = 7 gallons per minute
Bath = 28 gallons
Automatic dishwasher cycle = 15 gallons
Washing dishes by hand = 20 gallons

Free Water Conservation Kit
The District has a free water conservation kit available. The kit contains a low flow adjustable showerhead, dual thread faucet aerators for either 1.5 or 2.0 gallons per minute, dye tablet for toilet leak testing, a zip lock bag and an instruction sheet. The kit is available at the District Administration Building, located at 15160 Jackson Road, Rancho Murieta, CA.
